The next new thing for new media is going to be a combination of a virtual world and real life. It’s going to be called Avator. In this new form of new media people will be able to control a real life robot avator with their similar features. So instead of going outside and doing let’s say yard work, or actual work the jobs would be delegated to these robots. People will interact with each other through these avators and the human race will get 100x more lazier. More wars will be waged, because people would not be actually going, but there avators will. This idea was in no way shape or form inspired by James Cameron, but in my defense these idea doesn’t exist.
Lol, these are pretty interesting and radical ideas. But yeah, the next thing humans are predicted to do is create a race of beings in their image and likeness, just like the concept of "God". These beings won't be significantly inspired by movies or other media that we subscribe to today. It'll be almost completely original, practically devoid of any inspiration mankind has kindled over the 20th-21st centuries.

ReplyDeleteThis is quite interesting idea of having an avator of us in real life and doing the real work for you. But i think if this idea actually happens it would be the end of mankind, lol
I know I would want an avatar to be doing all the hard work for me like going to work!
ReplyDeleteThis concept sounds like the movie called "Surogates". Younger and better looking versions of individuals would go out into the world and individuals would be at home. It was depicted more like perfect world where there was not violence or anomousity.
ReplyDeleteIf living in a Avatarish world will encourage more wars then I say we have a war against Avatars lol... I do think it will make some people lazy but it will definitely inspire people to get creative in terms of coming up with things that the mind cannot fathom. For instance, such a world might make it possible to invent flying cars or we might see E.T looking creatures driving cabs, cooking our food, and teaching in our classrooms. As far fetched as this may sound, it could happen if we find ourselves in an Avatarish world lol....
